EAST ST. LOUIS, IL (October 22, 2024) – Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) today announced that it has filed proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law in Harrel v. Raoul, FPC’s case challenging Illinois’ ban on commonly owned semi automatic firearms. The brief, which thoroughly explains why the ban is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment and Supreme Court precedent, also explains why the ban would be unconstitutional even if the Court applies the Seventh Circuit’s flawed test.
